- Copy of your drivers license or ID
*SALES & USE TAX DUE:
Sales and use tax is collected and submitted to the DMV
This is the rate of six percent (6%) of the purchase price or the NADA value. Whichever is greater. $30 minimum.

BEFORE CONTACTING US:
Make sure that the vehicle is not currently titled in your state. Best vehicle history search we found is Auto Data Direct. Only costs $9.95 and will give you a full report of the vehicle. Most importantly it will tell you if there is already a title in your state, as well if there is a lien listed. Vehicles with less than 17 digit VIN will not pull history from online searches. In this case it is best to call your DMV and ask. Some states have this service online. To do a more thorough search please use your states record search if possible. NICB provides a list of available states here. If there is no record with your state's DMV, then we are clear to move forward. If there is a current title on file in your state, please contact us for more options.
A free stolen vehicle VIN check also be found on the NICB website. This will only tell you if the vehicle is listed as stolen and or if it was deemed as a total loss and was sold as salvage. It is always best to double check with your DMV directly if no information is found.
FORMS:
- Bill of sale: shows a transaction between two parties (original seller, friend, family member). Must contain sufficient information including Year, Make, Model, Mileage, Color, VIN, Purchase Price, Seller/Buyer info, dated and signed. If you don't already have one, the version below or similar is best to use. A copy of your original is acceptable as documents sent will not be returned.
- Power of Attorney: signed and notarized
- Moto Recycle Application: fill out completely and legibly.
Local office stores like Staples, Office max, UPS Store and others can print, scan and email them for you.

To expedite the title service, if possible please email all noted documents to [email protected] Or you can upload directly from our website. If good scans are received, then mailing is not necessary.

Do not send via FedEx or UPS as the post office will not accept them and it will be returned to you.
